Chelsea May Make Lampard Signing Available For An ‘Affordable’ Price As Real Madrid Consider Shock Swoop

Chelsea are not against selling Timo Werner, with Real Madrid keen on snapping up the German international, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website claims that manager Carlo Ancelotti wants the striker as one of three key signings this summer, and the 25-year-old could well be available for “an affordable and attractive” price.

It remains to be seen what valuation the Blues have put on Werner, but it is likely to be a lot higher than the £47.5m they paid RB Leipzig for the player last year.

The London club secured the signing after paying a release clause and, while he has struggled somewhat during his first season at Stamford Bridge, they could still expect a profit from his potential sale.

Whether Chelsea are, in fact, considering offloading Werner, it is an open question. Fichajes.net are not the most reliable of sources but the Blues may need to raise cash to fund a move for Erling Haaland, so you can’t rule out some surprise departures.
