Chelsea May Catch A Break

The Blues may finally have a solid chance to sign a strong striker who is very efficient in front of goal. According to Metro, Mario Balotelli’s Italian experience is coming to an end as the former City player is too much to handle by Milan’s management. Even though the 23 year old striker managed 15 goals in his last 17 appearances, it seems that Milan is not the team for him. This is a bit unexpected considering how desperate to move the Italian looked when playing for City.  He even declared he wanted to play for the Rossoneri while still at Inter which was one of the reasons he left for England.

Balotelli has been playing for Milan since last January and still has 4 years left with the Italian side. Even so, his agent recently hinted that the Italian international may be up for grabs during the winter transfer period. Raiola said that Milan’s player is always under the microscope even if his behavior is normal.

Chelsea might be able to take advantage of this particular situation and sign Balotelli who is definitely a viable solution to replace Ba or Eto’o. Both strikers seem to lack efficiency and look out of tune with the rest of the team. The Italian is valued at £30million which is a lot less than Falcao or Lewandowski who were targeted by the Blues during the summer. Mourinho could be the decisive piece to the puzzle considering he is one of the few managers that has expressed their admiration for Balotelli. Chelsea’s boss worked with Milan’s striker for two years in which according to the 23 year old, were a lot of fun for both him and Mou.

If the two become reunited, Chelsea may have a lot to gain. Balotelli is well adapted to the Premier League and looks like he reached a certain maturity as far as his game goes. The only problem is his personality which can be a handful. Hopefully Mourinho will be able to manage the young Italian who is one of the most difficult players to handle especially because his off pitch behavior.
