Chelsea Manager Set To Be Named In The ‘Next 48 Hours’

Frank Lampard has agreed a three-year contract to become Chelsea’s next manager, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper reports that they expect the Blues legend to be announced as the club’s new boss in the “next 48 hours.”

There have been previous claims about Lampard signing on the dotted line, but it is believed that an agreement has now been reached with Derby County.

The Rams’ chairman Mel Morris revealed yesterday that it was now only a matter of time before Chelsea officially appointed Lampard.

Pre-season training starts on Friday, and it appears the ex-Blues midfielder will be present as the players return to Cobham following their holidays.

The squad will then fly out to Dublin on Monday before friendlies against Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic. A tour of the Far East will follow that with games against Kawasaki Frontale and Barcelona in Japan.

Chelsea then return to England to face Reading on July 28th before jetting out once again to face Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
