Chelsea Make Transfer Stance On Levi Colwill Clear After Receving £30M Bid From Premier League Rival

Chelsea have told Brighton that Levi Colwill is “not for sale” for any price after rejecting a £30m bid from the Seagulls, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old has just finished a loan spell with the south coast club and manager Roberto De Zerbi had expressed a desire to keep the defender on a permanent basis.

However, Chelsea are keen to keep hold of Colwill, with the centre-back thought to be in new head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans for next season.

Colwill has recently raised speculation about his future after hinting that he would be open to staying with Brighton in a recent interview.

The player has also not signed a new contract despite having now reached the final two years of his current deal.

Are there other clubs interested in Colwill?

The centre-half’s performances for Brighton have also attracted the attention of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Premier League teams are believed to be hoping to prise Colwill away from Stamford Bridge with the promise of regular first-team football.

However, if Pochettino does give the defender some guarantees about his playing time, he should be happy to remain at Chelsea.
