The Argentinian striker is one of the most sought after players in the world. Currently under contract with Inter, he has managed to attract much attention after some impressive performances throughout the beginning of the season. Even though Arsenal and Liverpool were heavily linked to the 21 year old, it looks like Chelsea have the first chance of signing him. According to TalkSport, Mourinho is expected to make a bid for the prolific striker who in 28 appearances has managed to score 10 times which is a lot for Serie A.

Icardi is currently under contract with Inter until 2018 but it is hard to believe he will stay there until the end given his excellent form. The Italians are under reconstruction and do not seem to have the necessary resources to refuse an offer for the Argentinian forward. Valued at an impressive £26million, he is the most important player in Milano right now. Chelsea will be looking to lower the price and maybe balance it out with whatever they get for Schurrle or Salah who are both close to leaving Stamford Bridge.

The 21 year old would be amazing competition for Costa and Remy who already have improved their game immensely since coming to Chelsea. Having Icardi fighting for a spot in the starting eleven can only make all three players better and more efficient which is exactly what the Blues need in order to win trophies.
