Chelsea Linked To Manchester United Target

Chelsea have been recently linked to 26 year old winger, Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian international who impressed during the World Cup in Brazil, has made the wanted-list of many important clubs. Even though he has been present in European football for five years now, his true qualities emerged just two years back when signing with Fiorentina. According to Metro, he is now on top of Manchester United’s list, who are willing to pay £36million for the forward. After selling Lukaku, Mourinho might use that money to bring in Cuadrado and the boss is apparently also planning to use Marko Marin as part of his plan to sign the Colombian. Marin has failed to acclimatise at Stamford Bridge and has spent most of his time on loan.

With the 25 year old German on his way to Fiorentina, things are looking great for Chelsea. Agreeing to let Marin join the Italians on a one year deal with the option to permanently sign him at the end of the season sets the ground for a mutually beneficial collaboration between the two sides. Even if Manchester might outbid Chelsea, they might still have a chance considering the great terms on which Fiorentina are now with the Londoners.

Cuadrado will represent excellent competition for Willian who is currently Mourinho’s first choice for the right side of the pitch. With Hazard and Schurrle on the left and with Oscar and Fabregas down the middle, the Blues will secure the entire midfield. The Stamford Bridge side looks to have one of the best squads in Europe even without Cuadrado so losing him to United might not be such a big deal.
