According to Metro, Diego Costa is no longer the only striker Chelsea have in mind for their summer revolution. After all three current strikers have announced they might be looking for a new club at the end of the season, Mourinho is definitely going to insist on at least two important transfers. The Blues have been missing a decent forward for quite a while now and even if Eto’o and Torres manage to score a few goals, they are still miles behind the likes of Suarez or Sturridge.

Cavani who recently admitted to the fact that he is unhappy with his situation at the club, would fit perfectly with Chelsea’s playing style. The Uruguayan has a similar profile to that of Torres which is exactly what Mourinho is looking for.

Cavani also admitted to the fact that this is not the first time Chelsea are interested in signing him. According to the Uruguayan the Blues were keen on reaching an agreement even since last summer.

PSG’s striker also hinted that nothing is for sure until an offer is made. The Blues might have to fight hard for Cavani who came to Paris for £54million. Manchester United are also interested in his services as Van Persie’s exit look closer every day. Hopefully Abramovich will spend big this summer considering Chelsea’s desperate need of firepower.
