Despite having one of the most impressive squads in the World, Chelsea don’t plan on stopping their transfers anytime soon. With Fabregas signed from Barcelona, the Blues are still looking to bring in another midfielder. Croatian midfielder, Milan Badelj made Mourinho’s wanted-list after an impressive season with Hamburg where he quickly became a decisive player.

According to talkSPORT, the 25 year old who represented his country in Brazil just a few days back, will be keen on taking the step to a more important team. The defensive midfielder who has a similar profile to that of Obi Mikel and Matic, is set on receiving a massive increase in salary which is not going to come from the German side which is unable to keep up with Chelsea.

Badelj who performed for Dinamo Zagreb in the past, has been playing for Hamburg since 2012. He has managed to make 60 Bundesliga appearances in which he scored twice. He has been performing for Croatia’s international teams since he was 16, and is now one of the most important players for both Hamburg and his country. Currently valued at £5million, he would represent a decent alternative to Mikel and Matic.
