Chelsea are keen on a move for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez in the January transfer window, according to the Express.
The Blues were linked with the 24-year-old in the Spanish press earlier this month, but the latest report indicates the Maurizio Sarri’s side are leading the race for the playmaker.
Suarez is out of favour at the Camp Nou having been used just twice by manager Ernesto Valverde so far this season.
He captained the side in Barca’s 1-0 victory over Leonesa in the Copa Del Rey at the end of October, while he also made a brief cameo against PSV in the Champions League at the end of last month.
Suarez is reportedly valued at £45million by the Catalan club, with the midfielder also being tracked by Italian side AC Milan.
However, the Rossoneri only want to loan the Spanish international with an option to buy, but Barcelona would like to sell the player outright.
It means Chelsea are the favourites to land Suarez with Sarri reportedly keen to recruit the midfielder after previously wanting to sign him at Napoli.
