Chelsea Lead Liverpool And Spurs In Race For Dortmund Star With Player Keen On Premier League Switch

Chelsea are leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic, according to the Guardian.

The American international has been heavily linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham in recent months, but the Blues are said to be in the driving seat for his signature.

Pulisic has added to the speculation in recent days by stating he is keen to play in the Premier League at some point in his career, although he has emphasised that he’s still happy at his current club:

“England, the Premier League, is a league where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.”

“As you can see, we are having a great year at Dortmund and I am enjoying every moment of that. Then when the time comes for me to talk in the breaks about my future, then that’s when those things happen.”

The 20-year-old has been somewhat overshadowed by English starlet Jadon Sancho and Danish youngster Jacob Bruun Larsen so far this campaign for Dortmund.

Pulisic has had to be satisfied with a place on the bench in recent weeks with the pair having displaced him in manager Lucien Favre’s starting eleven.

The American has still managed 12 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and contributing four assists.
