Liverpool have joined Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for Ajax winger David Neres, according to the Sun.

The Brazilian speed merchant has been a key part of the Dutch club’s success this season, but the midfielder could be sold for £35m this summer.

Chelsea’s interest in Neres was reported last month, with Everton and Manchester United also believed to be keen on the 22-year-old.

This campaign, the Brazilian international has scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists in 50 appearances for Ajax, helping his side to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Neres has made important contributions both in his domestic league and in Europe this season. He scored a goal and provided an assist in a 3-1 win over rivals PSV that moved them top of the Eredivisie table at the end of March.

He also scored in the 4-1 win over Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League, as well as in the first leg of the quarter-finals against Juventus.
