Chelsea Joined By Chihuahuas In Title Race

Despite being one of the most disputed Premier League titles in a long time, the teams who are on top still have time to joke about who is favorite and who is not. After Chelsea’s manager compared his team to a little horse having to struggle with the likes of City and Arsenal who are race horses the animal metaphor seems to have caught on. Liverpool’s manager, Brendan Rodgers recently said his team may as well be the Chihuahuas of this title race.

According to Metro, Rodgers’s comment came after Liverpool narrowed the gap between them and the Blues who had some trouble winning against WBA. Mourinho’s comments seem to have jump-started the imagination of other managers too. The Portuguese manager’s little joke has been going on for well over a week now.

Mourinho is well-known for his ironic comments. Rodgers is not the only one reacting to the “little horse” comparison. Manuel Pellegrini has also joined in on this theme by saying Chelsea may be little but they sure don’t lack to necessary funds to grow. Even if the Blues’ manager referred to serious stuff when making his little remark, things have developed into a funny way of looking at things.
