Chelsea are one of five Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Vinicius Jr’s situation at Real Madrid, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Brazilian was not called upon by manager Zinedine Zidane as Real drew 0-0 against Barcelona in El Clasico on Wednesday night, and he has only started six games in all competitions this season.

It has led to Vinicius becoming impatient with his lack of first-team opportunities and he may well consider leaving the Bernabeu if things don’t improve by the end of the campaign.

Currently, the 19-year-old is willing to stay put but the Blues, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves are all reportedly monitoring developments. The English teams will also have competition from the likes of Inter Milan, Roma and Paris Saint-Germain.

Vinicius joined Real from Flamengo for £40m in July 2018, and since moving to Spain eighteen months ago, the Brazilian international has made 45 appearances, scoring five goals and contributing 13 assists.
