“Chelsea is my home” insists Blues midfielder amidst PSG links

Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante has dismissed any rumours that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer for Ligue 1 giants PSG.

The Parisian’s are understood to have made the France international their top target this summer as they look to replace veteran midfielder Thiago Motta.

Kante joined Chelsea for £30 million in the summer of 2016 after winning the Premier League with Leicester City, and  repeated that feat a year later with the Blues, establishing himself as one of the most sought after defensive midfielder’s in Europe.

However Chelsea and Kante are enduring a difficult second season under the reign of Antonio Conte, and are looking increasingly likely to miss out on Champions League football next season. They currently sit five points outside the top four.

And with PSG the runaway leaders in France and boasting an increasingly world-class squad, it was thought the temptation of another shot at Europe’s elite competition could be enough to lure the Chelsea star to the Stade de France.

Kante insists otherwise. “I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player.” said the former Foxes star.

“This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title.

“In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four.

“We will fight until the end to finish in the top four and to get in a Champions League position.

“We also have the FA Cup to play for – it is a good competition. Last season we failed in the final. It is the only trophy we can win this season, so we have to give everything to get to the final and win it.”
