According to Metro, the first player who will get a back-up is Spanish sensation Marcos Alonso. The 26-year-old who has blossomed under Conte’s new system could also be getting some serious competition from Napoli full-back Faouzi Ghoulam who is rumored to be on the move starting this June. Starting negotiations right now is not an exaggerated move as the left-back will be a top 10 target in Europe. Teams like Arsenal, United or Liverpool need to fill the same position so only good may come from beginning negotiations right now. Ghoulam who has represented his country in this year’s Africa Cup Of Nations, is still under contract with Napoli until 2018 and would get good profit for the Italian side as they only paid about £3million when signing him from Saint-Etienne.

The Algerian will be hard to sign as Napoli, although willing to do business, do not have someone to replace Ghoulam with. They did give up Higuain to Juventus though so Chelsea have all the chances of bringing him to London. It would be good competition between Alonso and Ghoulam as they are of same age and both are perfect for the position the Spaniard is currently covering.
