Latest Chelsea Injury News: Updates On Mykhailo Mudryk, Armando Broja, Romeo Lavia And 5 Other Players

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is back in training ahead of Monday night’s game against Tottenham.

The Ukrainian international missed the matches against Brentford and Blackburn Rovers with a muscle strain but he took to Instagram to say it is a “nice feeling” to be “back on the pitch.”

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Armando Broja could return to the bench for the Spurs clash. The Albanian international has had issues with his left knee but he is now closing on a comeback, having been sidelined since the last international break.

Romeo Lavia has provided an update on his recovery from an ankle injury. The Belgian international has been out since mid-September, having picked up the problem in a training session.

The midfielder is doing gym work, which should hopefully mean he isn’t too far away from getting back out on the grass. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be available before the end of the month.

Updates on the fitness of 5 other Chelsea players

Trevoh Chalobah (hamstring) and Carney Chukwuemeka (knee) have both suffered unexpected setbacks in their recoveries, and no estimate has been given on when they will be back in contention to play.

Chalobah hasn’t played all season, having sustained his injury in training after the Liverpool game. Chukwuemeka, meanwhile, has not been seen in action since the defeat to West Ham, when he was forced off the field.

Ben Chilwell is currently out of the country where he is continuing his rehabilitation following a torn hamstring. A return at the start of December has been pencilled in.

Christopher Nkunku had surgery on a knee injury he picked up in pre-season, and he has undergone extensive rehab, with the hope that he will be back on the pitch after the next international break later this month. Wesley Fofana (ACL) is not expected to play again this season.
