Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has withdrawn from Denmark Under 21’s squad for their friendlies against Germany and Spain.
There has been no explanation given as to why the shot-stopper has pulled out, with the club simply confirming that he would not be available to play for his country.
The 22-year-old has played for the Unders 21s in the last two international breaks but he did suffer injuries on both occasions, coming off before the end of the game against the Czech Republic, whilst also being subbed at half-time versus Iceland last month due to concussion.
Jorgensen is the fifth player to withdraw from international duty since the draw against Arsenal last weekend.

Levi Colwill won’t be available for England’s games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland this week.
Like, Jorgensen, no explanation has been given for his absence, although it is believed that the workload from an intense fixture schedule may have played a role.
Cole Palmer also pulled out of England’s squad with the attacking midfielder still having issues with a knee injury he picked up during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Head coach Enzo Maresca spoke out about the player’s fitness after the Arsenal match last Sunday:
“I don’t think we took any risks. For sure, he was a doubt until the end. Yeah, he is painful now but it doesn’t look (like) something important.”
Malo Gusto will not play for France’s Under 21s after withdrawing from the squad for the games against Italy and Germany.
The fullback did undergo treatment for a knock in the draw versus the Gunners so that is likely the reason why he has pulled out.
At the start of this week, it was revealed Wesley Fofana has been replaced in France’s squad for their Nations League fixtures against Israel and Italy. The country’s Football Federation has confirmed that the defender is suffering from “knee pain”.
