Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is a doubt for England’s Nations League clash against Greece on Thursday as he is dealing with a knock that he picked up against Nottingham Forest.
The Blues drew 1-1 with Forest on Sunday and Madueke scored their equaliser after Chris Wood took the lead 49 minutes into the game.
However, Madueke picked up a knock during the game and Enzo Maresca noticed that he seemed okay when he went into the changing room after the game.
He said: “We will see, but I don’t think there is any problem there.” So it seems as though Madueke will be fully fit when he returns from international duty and back to the Chelsea squad for their trip to Anfield on Sunday 20 October.
Expected return date – Sunday 20 October vs Liverpool (A)
Levi Colwill
Centre-back Colwill picked up a knock against Forest, much like Noni Madueke, he was also called up to Lee Carsley’s England squad for the National League matches.
The defender has had a history of ankle injuries, but it seems that the knock he picked up against Forest is not severe and puts his fitness status at 75% for England’s first match against Greece on Thursday night.
