Chelsea Injury News And Expected Return Dates – Updates On Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill And Four More

Chelsea face what could be an injury crisis ahead of their game against Wolves on Monday night, as they look for their first win in five Premier League games.

Star attacker Cole Palmer is a doubt for the game after he picked up a knock to his ankle in training this week ahead of the Wolves match.

Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League table, and will be keen to get back to winning ways in order to climb back into the Champions League places.

However, they could be without Palmer, who scored during their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca said on Friday: “He was not in the session today… we don’t know if he will train in the two days.” It is unclear yet as to whether Palmer will be available or not against Wolves, it would be a huge blow to Chelsea if he had to miss the game.

Expected return date – Monday 20 January vs Wolves (H)

Levi Colwill

Similarly to Palmer, defender Colwill picked up a knock in training this week, making him a doubt for Monday’s game against Wolves.

It could be a massive loss for Maresca, as he already has a lack of depth at the centre-back position. It could mean that Trevoh Chalobah starts on Monday after he was recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace this week.
