Romeo Lavia
The midfielder picked up another muscular injury in the 2-2 draw against Qarabag in the Champions League at the start of November.
Lavia was initially expected to be back within a month, but Maresca made it clear a couple of weeks ago that there is no clear indication as to when the Belgian will play again.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023, the 21-year-old has been plagued with muscular problems.
Seemingly innocuous injuries have snowballed into months on the treatment table. It will be hoped that he doesn’t miss a large chunk of the season this time around.
