Maresca has confirmed that the Ecuadorian did not train on Thursday ahead of the game against Nottingham Forest.
Caicedo did not join up with his country during the international break due to an unspecified fitness issue and it remains to be seen how long he will be out for.

Like Caicedo, the 25-year-old was also absent from the training session on Thursday.
Neto did start Portugal’s 2-2 draw against Hungary earlier this week but he was substituted in the second half and he may have picked up a knock.
