Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca says Cole Palmer’s groin problem will be monitored “day by day” by the medical department.
The 23-year-old pulled out of the West Ham game in the warm-up, and he missed the subsequent fixture against Fulham.
Palmer was also made unavailable for England duty, but there is hope that he will be back to full fitness right after the international break.

Romeo Lavia
Maresca has provided less positive news about the fitness of the Belgian international midfielder.
Lavia has not played since the Club World Cup but there was optimism that he would be available following the return of club football later this month.
However, prior to the win over Fulham, Maresca made it clear that the 21-year-old would not be back in contention immediately after this round of international fixtures.

Benoit Badiashile
The centre-back is said to be in the exact same situation as Lavia, with his return to action seemingly not imminent.
Like Lavia, Badiashile was injured at the Club World Cup, but he had been pictured out on the grass at Cobham and his comeback had been pencilled in for September.
Maresca was keen to emphasise, though, that the defender is still several weeks away from playing again.
