The striker pulled up with a hamstring injury earlier in the first half of the 2-0 win against Fulham at the weekend.
Speaking after the game, Maresca said that it didn’t look good and Delap could be sidelined for a number of weeks.
Since then, it has been estimated that the injury could keep the 22-year-old on the treatment table for up to two months.
Return Date – Saturday 1st November vs Tottenham (a)
Levi Colwill
The defender sustained an ACL injury in the week prior to the opening Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace last month.
Colwill subsequently underwent surgery and he is set to spend at least nine months in rehab.
There is hope that he will return before the end of the season but he may only feature in the final few matches.
