The defender sustained a serious hamstring injury in the closing stages of the defeat to Newcastle in mid-March.
While the extent of the problem was initially played down, James has already missed 5 weeks, and he could be out for several more.

The teenager was in tears after picking up another hamstring injury during the defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
Estevao is set to undergo tests to determine how long he could be on the sidelines, but an extended absence is anticipated.
