Benoit Badiashile
The centre-back was forced off with a muscular problem during the 2-1 win against Liverpool last month.
It is a major setback for Badiashile, who had already missed the start of the season after a lengthy spell on the sidelines following an injury he sustained at the Club World Cup.
Maresca has not given much detail about when the defender will make his comeback, but he said he won’t feature before December.
That means Badiashile is set to miss at least five more fixtures, including the matches against Barcelona and Arsenal later this month.
