Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca says that Romeo Lavia is close to making his comeback from a thigh injury.
The Belgian international has not played since being substituted at half-time during the 4-3 win over Tottenham at the start of this month.
Expected Return Date – Thursday 26th December v Fulham
Captain Reece James is closing on a return to first-team action after taking part in training.
The fullback has been out for over a month after sustaining another hamstring injury. He could make the bench on Boxing Day, although he is still some way short of full-match fitness.
