Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Pedro Neto missed the 2-1 win over Leicester City at the weekend due to a knock.
The winger is believed to have picked up the injury whilst away with Portugal but Maresca says he doesn’t expect the player to be out for too long:
“Pedro, he had a problem with his international team. There was a chance he could be with us but we didn’t take any risks for this game and hopefully, he can be available for the next game.”
Based on Maresca’s remarks, it looks like Neto could be back on the substitutes bench later this week.
