Ben Chilwell did not train before the Liverpool fixture due to illness, with head coach Enzo Maresca confirming his absence during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
The left-back has not featured in a matchday squad since the win over Barrow in the Carabao Cup last month.
It suggests that, even if Chilwell has returned to fitness, he won’t be playing in upcoming fixtures.
The 27-year-old is not in the Conference League squad so he won’t be available for the Panathinaikos match anyway but you do expect him to be in contention for this weekend’s game if Maresca chooses to use him.
