Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer remains on the sidelines with the knee injury he sustained against Manchester United at the weekend.
The 22-year-old was not seen in training with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday morning, raising concerns about his fitness ahead of the match against Arsenal.
Palmer was on the receiving end of a knee-high tackle from Lisandro Martinez during the 1-1 draw versus United and, speaking after the match, head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed he was still feeling the effects of the challenge:
“He was in the changing room with ice. We are waiting now. Hopefully, it is nothing.”
Palmer is not in the Conference League squad so he was not going to play against FC Noah but his participation in the London derby is in doubt.
Expected Return Date – Sunday 10th November v Arsenal (h)
Jadon Sancho was not eligible to play against Manchester United as he was effectively still facing his parent club.
However, the winger would not have been available for the match anyway due to illness.
Sancho was also absent for the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup and the expectation is that he should be available again soon.
We will likely find out at Maresca’s pre-match news conference whether he is fit to face FC Noah.
Expected Return Date – Unknown
Omari Kellyman picked up a hamstring injury at the start of September with it being estimated that he will return to action within two to three months.
The teenager has not played a minute of first-team action since his £19m move from Aston Villa during the summer transfer window.
Even if Kellyman is ready to make his comeback over the coming days and weeks, it is likely that he will spend time with the development squad.
There are also suggestions that he will be loaned out in January to get more game time
Expected Return Date – Unknown
