Chelsea vice-captain Ben Chilwell has returned to team training ahead of Wednesday evening’s fixture against Brighton.
The left-back has not played since coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City last month due to a knee problem but he should be in the matchday squad for the trip to the Amex Stadium.
Carney Chukwuemeka has been suffering from a similar injury, with the midfielder having last featured for the Blues during the 6-0 win over Everton.
However, the midfielder is also back in full training and he will be in contention for the club’s final two league fixtures of the season.
