Chelsea are reportedly in talks with CSKA Moscow over a potential deal for attacking midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

The Russian international has had an impressive World Cup so far, and shone last season for CSKA where he scored 7 goals in 43 appearances.

The 22-year-old has attracted attention from various European sides, including Juventus and Arsenal, but Chelsea are now favourites to tie up a deal once his World Cup campaign with Russia ends.

CSKA are reportedly after a fee of around £27m for the midfielder, who is under contract with the Moscow side until the end of the 2020/21 season.

It would serve as the Blues’ first signing of the summer, with there still being doubts over who exactly will be in charge of the club next season.

However, regardless of if it is Conte or Sarri in the hot seat during the 18/19 season, it is thought Golovin will still be a top target of Chelsea’s.

It remains to be seen what will happen to several of the Blues’ stars this summer, with Willian and Pedro’s futures at Stamford Bridge still hanging in the balance.
