Chelsea In For Big Summer Competition With Man Utd, PSG And Many More

It will be a very long summer for Chelsea who seem to have planned ahead. They will be joining a second tournament abroad after being rumored to take a trip to Japan, courtesy of Yokohama Tires which will be the club’s main sponsor for the next years. The Blues’ Chairman, Bruce Buck looked very happy with the fact that Mourinho will take the team to the States where they will be competing with 10 teams including Fiorentina, Barcelona, PSG, Manchested United, LA Galaxy, NY Red Bulls, FC Porto, Club America and the San Jose Earthquakes. It is no doubt that financially speaking, Chelsea will not only increase their summer revenue but they will also increase the overseas fan base.

Hopefully, the fact that they will get almost no free time, will not cost the club. Up until now Chelsea have not had to deal with too many injuries and have kept the lot pretty much intact which is nothing short of amazing given the large number of games played in a season. Adding a dozen games in which they will face Barca or PSG is not the safest way to go though. According to the Daily Star this US tournament is seen as a way to prepare for next season when Chelsea plan to go for the Champions League final. Maybe if Mourinho decides to take all the players who will return from loan to the US, playing a couple of more games will not be an issue and will actually help youngsters gain some much needed experience against big clubs like the ones mentioned above.
