Chelsea ‘Hold Interest’ In 70M Rated Midfield Maestro Who Has Just ‘Rejected’ A New Contract

Chelsea are one of six clubs who “hold interest” in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to 90min.com.

The website claims the Blues are monitoring the Belgian international’s situation, along with Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.

It is reported that Tielemans has “rejected” the Foxes latest offer to extend his contract, alerting other teams who could well take advantage of the impasse.

The 24-year-old’s current deal at the King Power Stadium expires in 2023, meaning Leicester may be forced into selling the player next summer.

Tielemans is believed to have ambitions of playing in the Champions League and, while he is said to be grateful for everything that the Foxes have done for him, it looks like he could move on in the near future.

The midfielder has previously been valued at £70m by reports in the English and Belgian media, but his contract situation may lead to him becoming available for a knockdown price.
