There have been many rumors regarding the goalkeeper situation at Chelsea. With Courtois saying his farewells to Atletico, Cech’s spot might be endangered. If the Belgian international does move to Stamford Bridge to become a team regular it is very likely that Cech will leave. As a result of this as Metro are reporting, Mourinho has just made a bid for 18 year old sensation, Simone Scuffet. The youngster who was Udinese’s first choice during last season is set to follow in Buffon’s footsteps.

The offer sent by Chelsea to Udinese was made official on Friday and consists of a £5million deal with no disclosure regarding the player’s salary. The Blues will be battling it out with Atletico who also seem interested Simone Scuffet especially with Courtois ending his three year loan spell.

It will be a difficult choice for the 18 year old Italian goalkeeper who will probably have to choose between having no chance of becoming a team regular and a 50% chance of playing for Atletico. There could be another solution which could please both clubs. Chelsea could sign the youngster and immediately send him to Atletico just as they did with Courtois. The Belgian international did an amazing job while playing for the Spanish side which with his help managed to win the title in La Liga.
