Chelsea Have Looked At THREE Alternatives After Having 65M Offer Rejected For Caicedo

Chelsea have made enquiries for Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma, Barcelona’s Franck Kessie and are considering an approach for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia as their search for a holding midfielder continues, according to 90min.com.

It is believed the Blues have also had a £55m bid (plus £10m in add-ons) offer turned down by Brighton for Moises Caicedo so the club have had to explore alternative options.

Bissouma worked with manager Graham Potter at the Seagulls but he only moved to Spurs last summer and Antonio Conte’s side are not interested in offloading him.

Kessie’s situation is slightly different. The Ivorian also made the switch to his current club Barcelona at the start of the season and, while the Catalan club may be prepared to let him leave, the player is not seeking a departure from the Camp Nou.

Southampton, meanwhile, have no intention of letting Lavia go this month, so if Chelsea do make an offer for the Belgian, it is unlikely to be accepted either.
