Chelsea Have Been ‘Offered’ Barcelona Defender As Lampard Searches For New Left Back

Chelsea have been “offered” Barcelona wingback Marc Cucurella, according to Goal‘s Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Getafe but he could return to the Camp Nou in the summer if his current club do not take up their purchase option.

Cucurella is, however, not believed to be a priority for manager Frank Lampard with the Blues still very much focused on signing Leicester’s Ben Chilwell if the England international is available for a realistic price.

Otherwise, they may look at potential alternatives, including Porto’s Alex Telles, Atalanta’s Robin Gosens and Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.

Goal believe Cucurella is low on the London club’s list of targets. The Spaniard has been in decent form during his loan spell with Getafe,  having scored one goal and provided five assists in 26 league games, but it is unlikely that he will be moving to Stamford Bridge when the transfer window opens.
