Chelsea Have ‘Already Asked About’ Signing Barcelona Playmaker As Tuchel’s Summer Plans Take Shape

Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic on loan, according to Sport. The Catalan newspaper claims the Blues have “already asked about” the Bosnian international ahead of the summer transfer window.

The playmaker was actually offered to the London club when he was still at Juventus last year but manager Frank Lampard reportedly turned down the chance to snap up the 31-year-old.

However, after not making a real impact during his first year with Barca, Pjanic could well be on the move again this summer, and it seems that, with Thomas Tuchel now in charge at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea could be more receptive to taking him.

It is believed that Tuchel is interested in signing a central midfielder, having also been linked with Adrien Rabiot recently. N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are having to play a lot of games with Mateo Kovacic out injured, so Pjanic could be seen as a solution to add depth in the middle of the park.
