Chelsea Handed Quadruple Injury Boost Ahead Of Carabao Cup FInal

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Reece James, Mateo Kovacic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech are all back in first-team training.

The news on James was revealed by the club yesterday, and Tuchel has even hinted that the fullback could start the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Sunday despite being sidelined for the best part of two months.

Kovacic limped off against Lille on Tuesday evening with a back problem, but he will be in the matchday squad for the clash at Wembley this weekend.

Hudson-Odoi, meanwhile, has missed the last two matches with an Achilles problem, and he looks set to return for the Liverpool game, along with Ziyech, who had a similar issue, with the knock forcing him off after an hour during the win over Lille.

With Mason Mount having also returned to the bench earlier this week, it means only Ben Chilwell (knee) is still on the treatment table.
