Chelsea Getting Ready For Winter Cleanup

There will be a lot of changes before the end of the season even if the reason for that is not yet clear. Transfers will be made both ways but no one probably knows yet if Hiddink plans to build a team of his own or just put together a lot for the manager who will replace him. Despite the uncertainty, some players may be sure of their future as they will no longer continue with Chelsea.

Probably the first to leave is Radamel Falcao. The Colombian looks like a lost cause and it is hard to believe he will stay and play under Hiddink’s management. He failed at Manchester United and he has failed here so the Premier League must not be for him. One of his fellow attackers is also rumored to have one foot out the door. Loic Remy is according to Metro, very high up on Swansea’s transfer list. Even if he did well when substituting Diego Costa, he still failed to impress and looked a bit overwhelmed at times. He is a good player to keep as a second option for the attack but it is hard to believe he feels the same way. Other than the two there are no other obvious departures.

Rumors have it that Fabregas is not going to stay but it is only speculation. It looks like many feel he contributed to Mourinho’s departure. The departure was not necessarily something that would never have happened, but it should have not involved any of the players. It remains to be seen if the Spaniard leaves his 3rd team in a row without being on good terms with that squad. Pedro is also rumored to leave as he does not seem to fancy being a substitute most of the time. Again this is just speculation. There are 2-3 games until the transfer period is underway and only then will we find out what is going to happen.
