Chelsea are the leading the race to sign Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, according to the Daily Mail. The newspaper reports that the Blues are keen to snap up the England international despite their transfer ban.
Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked with the 22-year-old in recent days, and it remains to be seen if the fullback will still be available in the summer when the London club can sign players again.
The Blues have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to have their embargo lifted and it appears that the club are already pressing ahead with their transfer plans.
Chilwell won’t come cheap with some news outlets suggesting he could cost at least £50m in the current transfer market. It would be a surprise if Chelsea do consider the Foxes star a priority considering they have two left-backs already in Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso.
