Chelsea Flop Linked With Shock Summer Move To United As Rival Makes Enquiry

Manchester United have “made contact” with Chelsea over midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to RMC Sport.

The French radio station reports that the Red Devils are looking for possible replacements in case both Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford.

Bakayoko has recently returned from a season-long loan spell at AC Milan and is currently away with the first-team squad at a pre-season training camp in Dublin.

RMC Sport say that manager Frank Lampard will assess the 24-year-old before making a final decision on his sale when they return to England next week.

United are not the only team interested in Bakayoko, though, with Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keeping tabs on the Frenchman.

PSG’s sporting director Leonardo recruited the midfielder when he was AC Milan’s technical director last season and is believed to be a big fan of the player.

Whether Bakayoko will end up at United or PSG, or will remain at Chelsea, we shall have to wait and see.
