Chelsea fans slam proposed move for 30-year-old Juventus striker

Chelsea fans have slammed a proposed move that will see Gonzalo Higuain move to Stamford Bridge this summer. 

It has been reported Higuain will be free to leave Juve this summer despite scoring 23 times for The Old Lady last season, with manager Massimiliano Allegri keen to replace the Argentine.

Allegri is eyeing both Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, as well as Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata – the latter of whom could form part of a deal to take Higuain to South West London.

The Evening Standard have claimed that the Old Lady have offered the west London club the opportunity to sign the 30-year-old in attempt to bring Morata back to Serie A.

Morata enjoyed a two-year loan spell in Turin between 2014-2016 and is understood to be keen to return after a difficult debut season in the Premier League.

And The Blues are understood to be keen on a deal, with manager Antonio Conte keen to land the Argentine hit-man as he looks to solve his side’s problems in front of goal.

Higuain joined Juventus in 2015 in a controversial switch from Napoli, and has scored 55 times in 105 appearances for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, helping them to back-to-back league and cup doubles.

On paper, Higuain’s addition to Antonio Conte’s side looks a no-brainer. But are the fans really wanting the 30-year-old at Stamford Bridge? Not even a little …
