Chelsea fans have heaped praise on youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi after his brilliant display in the Blues pre-season opener versus Perth Glory.
The club’s brightest young star was named in Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI for his first ever game in charge against Perth Glory.
And Hudson-Odoi did not disappoint, helping to open the scoring with just five minutes against the Australian side – with the 17-year-old showing great pace and footwork out wide before providing a pin-point cross for Pedro to volley home.
Odoi continued to be a lively threat on the left-flank throughout the first-half before he was substituted at half-time.
Subsequent to his performance, Goal now report the teenager has been offered a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge to help fend off interest from Barcelona and Juventus.
Chelsea are notorious for failing to bring through young players at the club, however Maurizio Sarri is keen to change that and sees Hudson-Odoi as one of the club’s brightest talents who can play a big role in he first team in the coming seasons.
