Chelsea fans are furious that the Blues made no attempt to sign Radja Nainggolan after the Belgian star joined Inter Milan yesterday.
Nainggolan joined Milan from AS Roma on a four-year-deal for around £21 million after successfully completing a medical at at Humanitas hospital in Milan on Sunday.
The 30-year-old announced only announced he was to leave Roma last week following four-and-a-half seasons in Rome, in which he made over 200 appearances and scored 33 goals and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season three times.
The announcement of his imminent departure from the Stadio Olimpico sparked rumours the 30-year-old was set to finally make his long awaited move to the Premier League, having been chased by both Manchester United and Chelsea for a number of years.
Chelsea specifically had been heavily linked with Nainggolan, with Antonio Conte known to be a big admirer of the Belgian star and having tried to land him in the summer of 2016.
Nainggolan turned down a move to Stamford Bridge then, however the Blues were widely expected to go in for him again following the announcement he would leave Roma.
However, no approach was made, continuing Chelsea’s baron streak in this summer’s transfer market going – the club have signed no players so far despite finishing fifth in the Premier League last season.
The Chelsea fans are furious that the club did not try to land the highly rated Nainggolan this time around, and are already beginning to look worried ahead of the new campaign …
