Chelsea Duo To Sign New Deals

Chelsea Duo To Sign New Deals

Chelsea have opened talks with two of their first team stars, according to reports.

Ramires, who has 2 years left on his current deal, is expected to sign another extension and the deal is expected to be concluded in the coming days.

The 28-year-old Brazilian international joined Chelsea for £18million from Benfica in the summer of 2010, and plays a big role in the side. Ramires has plans to extend his stay at Chelsea, having spent 5 years at the club. The midfielder signed a new deal in 2012, and that contract looks set to be extended, with talks said to be going well.

The length of the contract extension deal is yet to be decided but reports state that it is unlikely there will be any problems in reaching an agreement. The player was actually linked with a move away from Chelsea last year, however Mourinho made it clear that he does not want him to leave.

Ramires has made a total of 147 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Nathan Ake, who still has three years left on his current contract, is set to land a new deal himself. The 20-year-old is said to be on the verge of landing a new and improved wage, which is a reward for his progress in development. Despite only making 5 appearances for Chelsea, he is seen as a future star and Mourinho is reluctant to allow him to leave on a permanent deal. He has been linked with a loan move this summer, potentially to Middlesbrough.
