Chelsea Determined To Rule Europe

After Mourinho’s arrival, Chelsea look determined to implement a concept that finds its roots a year back from now. The Blues have oriented their attention to Europe’s finest. They are no longer spending big on established older players and they are no longer investing in players who are above the age of 30. With that in mind, Abramovich’s team just signed 18 year old Burkina Faso international, Bertrand Traore and are looking to bring in some other promising footballers. Getting them to move to London from such an early age is definitely a bold move. Even if Chelsea have some of the best scouts in the world it is still close to impossible to tell how some players will evolve.

The good thing is that Mourinho’s shopping list is a lot less expensive than what the Blues’ fans are used to and also that whomever decides to come to London will become part of a team filled with young talents.

According to Metro, two promising youngsters are going to be on top of the January transfer window list. The first name is Lazar Markovic. He is a 19 year old Serbian international who just moved to Benfica during the summer. Even so, the young winger repeatedly stated that his dream is to perform in the Premier League. He even recently stated that even though people don’t believe him capable of dealing with English football, he knows what the ideal stage is for him. The problem with Markovic is that he may not find a spot in Mourinho’s team. To be fair, Chelsea has already transferred a bunch of wingers who are performing at the highest level possible.

The second name on the list is Inter’s Pedro Delgado. The 16 year old left-footed midfielder is also a newcomer and promises a lot even if not much info is currently available on him.

It is going to be hard to sign these two young talents especially because they just moved during the summer. Even so, Chelsea know exactly how to act and will probably make a move as soon as possible in order not to lose either one of their targets.
