Chelsea Could Know ‘Within 48 To 72 Hours’ Whether Deal For Italian International Is Likely

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus may get an answer “within 48 to 72 hours” to whether AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will stay at the San Siro, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian international’s contract expires at the end of June, and so far no agreement has been reached over an extension. The keeper’s agent Mino Raiola is demanding a basic wage of €10m a year, with bonuses that could rise to €15m/€20m.

However, Milan are unwilling to go above the €8m a season they offered in their last proposal and they want an answer this week so they can move on if Donnarumma is not going to stay.

The 22-year-old has been linked with the Blues on and off over the past year, but the emergence of Edouard Mendy as the club’s number one seemingly made signing another keeper a lower priority. Even so, the Corriere Dello Sport seem to think that Thomas Tuchel’s side are one of the leading contenders for the player’s signature.
