Chelsea ‘Cool’ Interest In £120m Bundesliga Star As Lampard Changes Mind On January Target

Chelsea have decided to “cool” their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to the Sun. The 19-year-old had emerged as a top target for the Blues this month, but manager Frank Lampard has opted to change his transfer plans.

Sancho could have cost £120m, and with the London club having only so much money to spend, the Chelsea boss has made the decision to focus on signing a striker to challenge Tammy Abraham instead.

The Blues already have a number of wingers in the squad, and Lampard feels that the top priority must be to sign another forward.

It must be said, though, that it doesn’t preclude Chelsea from making a move next summer, but it does seem like Sancho is no longer the club’s primary focus.

The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are also said to be looking at the teenager, and it remains to be seen if Dortmund will look to sell him in January.
