Chelsea Continue Transfer Streak With Teenager Mario Pasalic

Chelsea has completed two transfers one of which was already decided in February. St. Etienne’s Kurt Zouma, who is set on replacing David Luiz completed his last months of contract with the French side, is now looking forward to perform under Mourinho’s supervision. The other name which will be featured on Chelsea’s site in the “team member” section is Mario Pasalic. The 19 year old Croatian who nearly made the cut for the World Cup in Brazil by being selected in the 30 man squad, has already joined the Blue’s first training session.

After just one year with Hajduk Split, the young midfielder was named one of Europe’s most promising players. Even if it is very unlikely that he will become part of Mourinho’s starting line-up, he has still managed to make an enormous step in his career. According to the Daily Mail, the young Croatian midfielder already expressed his joy that came with training with Chelsea’s stars.

Kurt Zouma on the other hand is expected to be used as a substitute for Cahill or Terry who are currently backed up only by Nathan Ake who is also 19. With only 4 central defenders in the squad, Mourinho will surely have the chance to use both youngsters on a regular basis. Hopefully the pressure of the Premier League will not be too much for Zouma who is seen as one of the best up-and-coming young defenders in Europe.
