Chelsea have considered making a move for Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The 26-year-old has been made available for transfer by the Serie A champions and the Bianconceri are actively seeking a buyer for the Italian international to raise funds for other deals.

Juve have already offered Bernardeschi as part of a proposal to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina, while Atletico Madrid have also made enquiries about the player.

Gazzetta claims that the Italian “would like” a move to the Premier League but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will step up their interest.

The Blues’ focus at the moment is on signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz but the two clubs are currently €20m (£18m) apart in their valuation of the midfielder.

It could be the case that if Chelsea’s move for the German international falls through, they may switch their attention to Bernardeschi.
